"Too Loud. Crowded, Not relaxing"
The Riu Vallarta was an underwhelming vacation. The steakhouse is nearly impossible to get a reservation for leaving the main option the loud buffet with little to no variety. The dinner menu of the buffet only changes twice a week. There needs to be a more personalized service for a true 5-star experience. there's no concierge, no waiter service in the beach or pool areas and most drinks are blended high sugar low quality liquor options. The rooms are tight and small, only pro is the full bar in the rooms. Nights are loud with live bands playing through midnight almost daily. The only reason my review is 3 stars is for the bartender Israel from the lobby sportsbar. He made our vacation memorable with top of the line customer service and attentiveness.
"I thought it would be better"
Look, what I did not like was that the drinks had a very low alcohol quality; honestly, I barely drank from the open bar. The service, I also think a little more kindness would be much better; other than that, everything was fine.
