- Unawatuna Beach: this stretch of sand is characterised by white sand and calm turquoise waters that are protected by a double coral reef. It is also known for being one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka to see turtles nesting. Of course, it is the most touristy!

- Ahungalla Beach: of all the beaches we have mentioned, this is possibly the one that best retains its essence and authentic nature. Ideal for nature lovers who can enjoy a landscape bordered by palm trees. A wild beach!
2. Exciting safaris
Sri Lanka is a paradise for adventurous souls. If you want to discover its impressive nature and have a unique experience, there are several national parks, such as Yala and Udawalawe, where you will have the opportunity to see elephants, leopards and a variety of exotic birds in their natural habitat. Don’t forget to bring your camera to capture these unforgettable moments.

- Yala National Park: here you will find an abundance of flora and fauna, but it is also famous for being an ideal place to see leopards. You can finish your day under canvas and enjoy a barbecue beneath the stars. If you are a leopard lover, this is the safari for you!

- Udawalawe National Park: this is one of the most interesting natural areas in Sri Lanka. This natural space surrounded by bushes is perfect for elephant spotting. You will be able to take some amazing pictures!

- Don’t make a classic mistake! Electrical power in Sri Lanka uses three-pin plugs, so we recommend that you pack at least one universal adapter.

- We recommend renting a tuk-tuk to get around in and explore at your own pace, or use the train system that offers spectacular panoramic views.

- When visiting temples, be sure to dress appropriately to respect the culture and customs. In sacred places you will need to cover your legs and shoulders. You should take off your shoes and the use of socks is highly recommended.

- Don’t forget to pack a jacket or long-sleeved jumper, trousers and a raincoat, as it can be cold if you visit the mountainous regions. And most importantly, you will need comfortable shoes.

- It is essential to carry a good mosquito repellent. Another way to avoid unpleasant bites is to wear light cotton clothing that covers most of your body.
