And we are having a double premiere. As you know, in July we opened our first Riu Plaza hotel in Chicago and now we’ve just opened the doors to its impressive terrace. Are you excited to learn more about this stunning space? We can’t wait to tell you about it! Come with us!
What is the new terrace at the Riu Plaza Chicago like?
Located on the 27th floor of the dazzling new skyscraper, the moment you arrive you will be blown away by the spectacular panoramic views of the city. Being surrounded by the impressive Chicago skyline is a very special experience that will be hard to forget. Next challenge? Find your favourite spot to take some impressive photos: an absolute must to immortalise a moments you have to share with your nearest and dearest.
At RIU Hotels & Resorts we aim to provide you with the fullest experience possible, so we can’t miss out a place where you can enjoy a quiet snack or a good meal. The Rooftop bar offers a wide range of options for both lunch and dinner, with a varied menu of international cuisine. If you’re more of a liquid refreshment lover, there’s no need to worry. You will be able to choose from a wide selection of cocktails, spirits and wines to make your stay unforgettable.
Are you full yet? There is no need to rush, the main course is still to come: the impressive glass balcony! Experts say that a little dose of vertigo from time to time is good for your health, and naturally we’ve taken note. This little corner of our exclusive new rooftop terrace is only for the brave, as you’ll be suspended no less than 88 metres above the ground! The best possible way to lay out the heart of the Windy City at your feet.
What can I do in Chicago?
As we have already explained in previous posts, the Riu Plaza Chicago, 4 stars and 390 rooms, has design and decor inspired by the Chicago School of Architecture. And like all our urban hotels in the RIU Plaza line, it is located in the heart of the city centre, on the Magnificent Mile, the main drag of the third largest metropolis in the United States. From here you can walk to iconic and beautiful places like The Willis Tower, the Navy Pier, and the Chicago River.
You’ll be able to do all this with your stomach happy and full of energy. Because, in case you didn’t know yet, our city hotels offer a breakfast buffet, the best recipe for starting the day off right.
Are you already thinking about when to take a trip to our incredible terrace? If you would like to visit it from Monday to Thursday, you can do so between 4:00 pm and midnight. And from Friday to Sunday it’s open from midday until midnight. And if you are not staying at the hotel, but you live in the city or are visiting, don’t worry, you can still go up to our rooftop! There is no better way to enjoy our fifth hotel in the United States. We are waiting for you with open arms, or in this case, an open rooftop!
