The Riu Palace Bavaro is preparing to surprise us with some unique new features after its remodelling
25 April, 2024The Riu Palace Bavaro, in Punta Cana, is about to begin extensive renovation. The process actually began a few months ago with the demolition of the Riu Naiboa, annexed to the hotel, which means the Riu Palace Bavaro will now have more space and be able to increase its range of services, products and rooms.
But without a doubt there is one major new feature that stands out above the rest. This is the fact that the Riu Palace Bavaro will be the first RIU hotel to have an impressive gastronomy area once its refurbishment is completed in September: a magnificent food court. This comprises a group of restaurants with different specialities that are arranged in a large plaza-like space with a communal seating area in the centre. This means it does not matter what your travel companions’ preferred option is. Everyone can decide what they like most and then share a good time at the same table. We guarantee there will be no more fights over who chooses what to eat!
Food Court: A new culinary proposal
In addition to the typically wide and varied culinary experience that characterises RIU hotels, the food court will be offering guests at the Riu Palace Bavaro a new list of options. The well-known Pepe’s Food will be complemented by a taco outlet, a pizza joint, a wok and poke area, a fried chicken restaurant, an ice cream parlour and a sweet-treat station offering pancakes, waffles, doughnuts and cupcakes. This food court will also have a drinks buffet and a full bar. This is a very innovative approach for RIU and will be the only one in any of our hotels.
The first family hotel with Elite Club service
This is another of the great new features of the Riu Palace Bavaro renovation. It will be the first hotel focused on families that will offer the Elite Club service for adult guests who want to upgrade their experience in Punta Cana.
Guests who wish to use the Elite Club service will have access to an exclusive restaurant, as well as a swimming pool with a bar service just for them and a lounge area also focused on Elite Club customers.
They will also benefit from all the normal Elite Club perks: rooms with the best views, a priority check-in area at reception, late check out guaranteed, premium drinks in certain hotel bars as well as in the rooms, a minibar with snacks and bottles of wine, upgraded room service, aromatherapy in the room and the possibility of booking a table at the hotel’s themed restaurants.
More rooms and a radical change of style
After the remodelling and once the space where the Riu Naiboa was located has been added, the Riu Palace Bavaro will boast more than 380 new rooms, bringing the total to almost 1,000.
Designed with families in mind
It is impossible to imagine a RIU hotel without a large pool area for our guests, but the Riu Palace Bavaro is going one step further and will have a total of… nine pools! In addition to the one exclusively for Elite Club guests, there will be two other pools with a swim-up bar, which will be accessible to adults. There will also be a children’s pool with slides that will delight the youngest members of the family, as well as a baby pool. They will also want to take a refreshing dip in Punta Cana! A further four pools will complete the offer for our guests. In addition, every guest will still be able to access the Splash Water World water park at the RIU complex in the resort.
These are just some of the features to be found in the refurbished Riu Palace Bavaro. But not the only ones! Get your bags packed and in a few months you will be able to enjoy the renovated Riu Palace Bavaro as you have never seen it before.
We will be waiting for you!
