What are the differences between Riu Class and Elite club?

At RIU we offer different programmes to give our guests access to additional or premium services during their stay. Riu Class is a totally free loyalty programme, which works by accumulating points every time you stay at one of our hotels. It offers three main categories: Riu Class Classic, Riu Class Gold ,and Riu Class Diamond. Each category offers you different benefits that you can consult in more detail here. Elite Club, on the other hand, is a premium service offered at some of our Riu Palace hotels that offers exclusive benefits such as rooms with the best views in the hotel, an exclusive bar, restaurant, pool or beach area, as well as a personalised check-in and late check-out service. What payment methods does RIU accept?

At RIU we offer various payment methods, such as credit or debit card, deferred payment, and so on. If you have any doubts about this, the best thing to do is to check on the booking form, as the payment method available varies according to the hotel and how far in advance the booking is made.

What is the dress code at RIU hotel restaurants?

Although we don’t want you to miss out on the relaxation and holiday atmosphere at any time during your stay, at dinner we do have a more elegant dress code. Don’t panic! We only ask that gentlemen wear shirts or T-shirts with their shoulders covered and leave their swimwear for the pool or beach.

Do RIU hotels have vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options?

At RIU we care deeply about providing every guest with an excellent dining experience. We consider this to be one of the cornerstones of our service. We offer an extensive selection of freshly prepared dishes, using fresh ingredients that reflect the local cuisine of each destination as well as international flavours.

If you have specific dietary requirements, such as gluten-free, lactose-free or vegan meals, or food allergies, it is best to let us know when making your booking to ensure we can offer you a suitable service. Although our RIU hotels usually have products for coeliacs, we recommend that you contact reception in advance to ensure the availability of the appropriate food for your requirements. We also suggest carrying an information card in the local language when travelling to communicate your needs outside the hotel.
