RIU wishes you a Merry Christmas from Jamaica!

One of the most special and beautiful holidays of the year has crept up on us: Christmas. With it comes time to reflect, share and celebrate. And we don’t want to let another day go by without wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! And I would also like to thank you once again for being part of the great RIU family. We love to think that we are part of your fondest memories from this year.

2024 has been full of exciting news for us. In fact, we have just added the finishing touches to the newly reopened Riu Negril hotel in Jamaica. It was our second hotel on the island, which we opened in 2004, and it is located in an idyllic spot on the beautiful Bloody Bay beach. Over the last few months, the RIU team has been working hard to surprise you all with a sophisticated hotel brimming with new services.

As always, our CEO Luis Riu has closely supervised all the details of the project, from the first sketches and plans to the opening, including all the construction phases and features. His sons Luis and Roberto have also been at his side and they are now in charge of the design and construction area for the RIU chain. They didn’t want to miss the end of the construction and the best part of all: the opening of the doors and the arrival of the first guests. And, as they say, on schedule! And this is essential for us. We can’t disappoint you with a delay!

And as a great project always requires a great team, today we would like to take this opportunity to show you photos of our colleagues who make these impressive openings possible. Construction, Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, IT, Kitchen, Bars, Restaurants, Reception, Entertainment, Housekeeping, Gardening, Operations, Sales… all of them, without exception, work hard to make sure that every last detail is perfect to welcome you with the services and facilities fully prepared and ready to go.

As you know, we already have seven hotels in Jamaica. One (or more) of them is bound to offer just the holiday you’re looking for. Also, all the teams enjoy decking out their hotels in the best festive finery to make this time of year really special for everyone.

So 2024 in Jamaica is coming to a close with us celebrating a new opening, the second of the year on the Caribbean island after the Riu Palace Aquarelle in May, and we are already looking forward to surprising you in 2025 with some great new developments. For now, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas.

And remember that we are waiting for you all with open arms because hotels without guests like you, are just buildings. We need you to visit us so we can offer you our best service and let the magic happen!
