When you visit Torremolinos you'll understand why it has become the quintessential tourist destination of the Costa del Sol: kilometres of beachfront, exquisite cuisine, animated nightlife and many natural and cultural attractions. At this destination you'll find everything you need for a wonderful holiday.

The Hotel Riu Nautilius and the Hotel Riu Costa del Sol offer you the best facilities for enjoying your stay in Torremolinos. Facing the beach, they offer the best entertainment programmes, a varied gastronomic offer and the exclusive amenities RIU is famous for.

Torremolinos and its surroundings

In Torremolinos you'll find very interesting places to explore, like its historic centre; fishermen's neighbourhoods like La Carihuela, El Calvario and El Bajondillo; the main square of the Costa del Sol; the Casa de los Navajas; and Torre Pimental. We also recommend walking along the seafront promenade and down Calle San Miguel, a commercial street where you'll find shops where you can buy souvenirs of your trip. If you want to see more greenery, Batería park and the Molino de Inca botanical garden are just the places for you.

Near Torremolinos there are especially beautiful towns and cities worth seeing. We recommend you visit Mijas, a charming white village with sea and mountain views, and Marbella, one of the most exclusive cities on the Mediterranean. And if you have more time, don't pass up the opportunity to see Ronda, one of the loveliest and most historic towns of Andalusia, and Frigiliana, a municipality located in the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara y Alhama Nature Park.

And just 25 kilometres from Torremolinos, you'll find the city of Málaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol. Its streets and avenues invite you to stroll. And its parks and terraces are perfect places for taking a well-deserved break from sightseeing. Thanks to greater promotion of its heritage in recent years, Málaga has also become a premier cultural destination. Don't leave without visiting its cathedral, the Alcazaba, the Picasso Museum and its famous beach, Playa de La Malagueta.

Gastronomy on the Costa del Sol

In all parts of Andalusia you will eat extremely well. Its cuisine is rich in fish, seafood and traditional local dishes. We encourage you to try pescaíto frito, Andalusian-style fried fish; ensalada malagueña, the city's traditional salad; ajoblanco, a cold garlic and almond soup; migas, made with breadcrumbs sautéed with garlic; and gachas, a sweet dish made with bread. And for dessert, you'll love bienmesabe, a cake made with eggs and almonds, and borrachuelos, a typical Malagan sweet. And if you want to learn more about the gastronomic culture of the area, you can plan a tapas and wine route that you will love.

La Carihuela:

A two-kilometre stretch of sand that offers countless possibilities. Due to the tranquillity of its waters, it's perfect for swimming or getting started in aquatic sports like windsurfing and sailing. Plus, its name is always synonymous with fun and good food.

Playamar:

On its fine sand bathed in warm waters, you'll be able to take long walks to any of the other beaches of Torremolinos. The seafront promenade alongside the beach attracts a great many walkers, giving the place a lively atmosphere.

Torre Pimentel:

Adopted as the symbol of the city by the city hall, this watchtower of Arab origin is located on the final stretch of the famous Calle San Miguel.

Casa de los Navajas:

The lovely façade of this Andalusian-style palace will capture your imagination. Its fantastic location on the seafront promenade only adds to the charm of this singular building constructed in 1925.
